Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities

Wage Payment: Employee rights include:- Pay for all wages earned (INFO # 3) at the rate consented to by the company and staff member.

– Pay of a minimum of minimum wage (INFO # 1), the applicable Colorado or regional minimum wage, and all made overtime wages without impermissible deductions from their incomes;.

Statutes & Rules: DLSS enforces numerous of Colorado’s wage and hour and other types of labor statutes and labor guidelines, consisting of the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (” COMPS Order”), and the Equal Spend For Equal Work Act. Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations

Demands & Complaints for Wages: If a company owes you earnings, you can send your company a written need for payment of salaries by mail, email, text message, or other electronic means. A written demand may be sent to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for unpaid wages is filed with the Division. Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and examined, a letter discussing the nature of the grievance and the quantities declared to be owed is sent to the company. Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division might perform employer-wide direct examinations of possible infractions of Colorado wage and hour law.
